I have dropped two governor springs in the past, I know what that condition drives like:( So, last night I dropped the governor and the spring is in place on the governor and the check balls are moving correctly and all seems ok with the governor. The cars shifts just barely better than when I broke the springs before. At 70 mph it feels like it locks the converter in 3rd gear. I haven't plugged in TurboLink 4 to check for a TCC green light, as I thought I knew what the problem was and didn't do any testing once I got it home.

I searched for related topics and only found this:

"if it's not the gov spring like Red said... check the tv exhaust lifter rod in the tv bracket linkage"

What could be causing the problem? This tranny has good stuff in it and worked perfectly before this last run to high rpm in 3rd gear. The tranny only has about 11000 miles on it.

My GN IQ is lower than I thought...A frayed TV cable at the throttle body was binding the movement after I plyed with that a little just trying to figure this thing out. I knew it wasn't the gov spring. Now I have to locate a TV cable...Thanks for reading! Hope someone can use this to figure out that they should pull the TV cable out a little to see if it is bound up by the throttle body before they decide to drain the 600 quart awesome deep pan from PTS. I'll have to buy like two cases of Valvoline type F to fill it back up.....

That pan kicks ^ss from Bruce and Mark at PTS Extreme! Buy one if you are still running the stocker, man, the drain feature saved me from such a mess and it shifts like mad on accel now fromt eh rear custom pickup- no more flared shifts! I can't give praise enough, probably one of the best mods done to my Buick yet.

Thanks for all the nice kudos Turbo. Glad our product met and /or exceeded your needs. As far as the cable goes, it is available thru GM. If you can't find one locally, let me know, we can send you one. thanks, Mark :D
