Top End Lube - Any users? Able to run a plain steel or aluminum tank with it?

I stopped by two of my local speed shops looking for a SS cylindrical tank with no luck. Both shops mentioned that I could run a top end lube and then use an aluminum or plain steel tank, as the top end lube inhibits the corrosion properties of methanol. Comp cams and Summit both have large vacuum reservoirs that fit the bill perfectly, but they are eithe aluminum or plain steel.

Is anyone running a top end lube additive?

I run Klotz. But I still will flush with gasoline between meets. I have heard from many alcohol burners that klotz is the ticket. With that said, I would still be uneasy about storing in an untreated steel or aluminum tank. If you have the choice, use the aluminum tank and have it anodized. Anodizing doesn't guarantee you won't have corrosion, but it slows it down greatly.

If this is for an auxilliary alky injection kit, check with the manufacturer about the additive. I understand that most, if not all kits currently being manufactured are not compatible with methanol top lube additives.

Correct And its the pump that will have the issue
