Hey, guys first post and new to the board hope you can help. I have an 87 GN that is slow to spool no exhaust leaks and it feels like it is slipping at the shifts. The person I bought the car from said the Tranny was rebuilt 3 years ago by Phoenix transmission in weatherford with performance parts. I guess my question is does it sound like the tranny or the converter which is a stock d5 I was told. I tried adjusting the TV cable but still not right. Sorry this is so long just trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance

First problem is that Phoenix did the work. Heard lots of horor stories about them and 200's. Second, if its slipping with a D5 convertor its probably the trans not the convertor. D5's are very reliable and tough. I had a local (Arlington) guy do mine with lots of 200 experience. Mine lives behind a 600 hp
V-6 Call me at 972 603-1389 m-f for his number
