I just bought a new performance transmission with a trans brake and the Art Carr converter that I had on it prior is probably toast. I don't want to take a chance and install a converter that is probably damaged with a new transmission. With my combo (TE-45A, V2, ported heads, larger cam), what stall would you recommend for a car that is 90% street duty (lockup vs non-lockup)? Thank you, Theodore

With 90% street usage in mind, you'll definitely want to keep a lockup style converter in your car. Your stall speed will need to be around 3000-3200. You'll be able to build boost quickly with it and it won't be too loose to drive on a daily basis.
