cant spin the tires from a stop.it seems like i have some lag untill the converter kicks in i think i have a stock one.i can power brake up to 5 psi but still noting. could this be my converter?if so what should i up grade to? on a budget? Thanks any input will help

How much boost? What kinda tires? I would think it should spin them pretty easy unless you have a very good set-up thats hooks great. I just picked up a Pat's 10" 3200 L/U and it should really wake up my combo. Listen for more replies and go from there. These guys will not steer you wrong.

Thanks

What size turbo do you have?

It sounds alot like you have a D5 for a Monte Carlo which is a common mistake if the trans is built by a local shop.

I have a stock turbo with bf g's for tires I am not sure if the trans was rebuilt before I got the car

You can get a restalled D5 converter that will go around 2000-2200.

Then there are the 10" converters that range from 2400 to 3200 stall if you ever want to upgrade turbo's in the future.
