I have a quick question for the trannie gurus on here. I have learned that my convertor I have now isn't going to be able to handle my new set up. Heres my new set up:

standard 109 - caps, arp's, je pistons, 224/224 roller cam, 50's, te63
Trans. is a cz from a 86 monte ss, I have a 2800 stall now but was told it was to small. Need a 3200 - 3400 stall.

My question is will a Art CARR 2004R CONVERTER NON LOCK UP"H/D SUPER TORQUE"with billet cover(9.5 dia custom stalled). It is only a 3000 stall. The part number 16930.

Thanks for any info about this

109 - 3.8 - 231 cubes
That cam will make it a pig below 4000 rpm. Thats larger than a lot of guys used to go 140+mph with TSM style builds. With that cam you should be building for power between 5400 and 6500
