I am looking for a 9 inch torque convetor (3500) lockup. Can anyone recommend me someone/business that I can buy from? I wanting someone that is reputable and has a proven track record. Please provide insite!

Pretty much answered your own question ^^^.
Very difficult to build an efficient Lockup TC with high stall. It will be very inefficient= high Slip % when not Locked.

Ok,
so, when you are racing w/a L/U converter, can you L/U the converter once you are out of first gear?
Do guys that run a stock or high stall L/U converter & lock it when you get out of first gear or other gears? Just curious.

I know w/my Syclone, that is the trick to gain/drop about .2 in the 1/4 mile & 2-3 mile per hr gain also.

Yeah you can lock it but it kills the trans and TCC. I advise against it. Ive killed stock and aftermarket ones locking them in a 11 second car they just dont hold up

Yes, PI's Vigilante multi 3, 5 & 7 Disc lockup TCs are designed just for this.
A stock design TC w/single Disc TCC wont last long locking @WOT.

The multi disks work but have their issues as well. Cold fluid placing it in gear will alot of the times stall teh engine as well as the clutch plates rattling at idle.

Bottom line if you want to get the most life out of your trans dont force L/U

Like mentioned. Only way to have a high stall with lock-up is to use the multi-disc vigilante so it can be locked at WOT. There isn't enough clutch surface area in a 9.5 or 10" lock-up for a single disc to hold much power.

A true 3500 stall will drive terrible and slip extremely bad un-locked. Which means until the clutch locks your giving up alot of power.
