I'm having a tough time finding my color in the little touch up paints. Any ideas on finding my color? I've tried the usual places and the internet. I found a few places on the net that put the paint in "pens" and small bottles but they are much more expensive than Duplicolor. Thanks

Hey Pronto?

I have the same color Regal as you & would like to locate this touch-up paint as well. What is the best method to use when applying touch-up paint? Thanks,

Go to a paint supply shop and have them mix you as small of an amount as they can. It might cost a little more but, do really want to buy touch up paint based on price?

As far as technique, think of it as filling a scratch with paint, not painting over it and you'll get the idea. it might take 3-5 applications but, with a little time and patience you can almost make scratches and chips disappear.

Now don't laugh...

What I like to do for rock chips is take a new (clean) round toothpick and stick it in the touch-up bottle just enough to get a tiny bit of paint on the end. Make sure there is no dust or splinters on the end. Just dab it in the chip like zam said. It takes a bit of practice. A few layers and it's not too noticeable usually. Those brushes that are in the touch-up bottles from the dealer a bit too big usually I've found...
