Noticed when my SES popped on today and it was acting funny. Narrowed it down to the harness at ecm. I can't tell if it is the GEN II plug n play harness or the factory harness as I can't seem to move one without disturbing the other. Any suggestions?

I've been having issues with mine going to zero and the car stalling. It then throws a code (I can check the code in my notes at home) but it turned out to be the tps reference voltage wire at the ECM was flaky. I used to have a gen II and I would make sure all the wires at the ECM are in good condition. Did yours throw a code?

My tps reading would go to 0 and the SES lit up. Wiggling the Plug N Play harness would make it read again. Tried to isolate it between the factory harness and Plug N Play but couldn't, it would go to 4.99 at times.

When I had the gen II I didn't have the plug and play harness. When the ses light comes on do u get a mal code? At the ECM I would put the scanmaster on tps display and wiggle C14. It is a grey wire that is the tps 5 volt reference. If that reading is off it will mess up your tps reading. If when you wiggle that wire the scanmaster display moves then you have the culprit.

I haven't had a lotta time to mess with it due to work/weather. Its kinda hard to move the harness wires without moving the Plug N Play harness. I may just remove the Plug N Play and see if is the pin in the stock harness.

Found issue! The TPS 5v wire had broken at the solder point. Resoldered it just now.

I hate electrical problems. Glad you found it.

I had to bust out my volt/ohm meter and a sowing needle and saw the 5v drop out whenever the tps signal did. Removed the plug n play and no issue with harness plugged to ecm, looked at the plug n play and found it loose but the wires on top were holding it in place. And I agree electrical issues SUCK!

It runs 1000 percent better with the Gen 2 and the Extender Extreme chip!
