First you got it backwards, if there is any ”protégé” here it would be that I'm a protégé of Bruce's. But I'm not, I've just benefited in my 2004R rebuilds from his good original information created by trial and error at his expense which he was providing long before your arrival on this board--BC, you know. Unknowingly you've paid Bruce an appropriate complement>>protégé=one who is trained or whose career is furthered by a person of experience, prominence, or influence. Maybe subliminally you want to be nice.

I think even the most causal reader of this board knows who is trying to derive importance and revenue from this board. You’re just in denial.

I handled several market research projects into business methods and plans that clearly reveal giving stuff away for free is a flawed strategy without lasting benefit. If that's your business plan have at it, the business world is littered with defunct brands that went down that path. I was online when your gave away the outlaw forward drum but asking for would have been like stealing from Bruce.

Ahhh, youthful bravado! Bruce's background and experience is on his website for the entire world to see, where is yours? His R&D expenditures, experiences and numbers are also on his website, where's your third-party test data? But it is impressive that you were in this business at 13 years of age—took you a long time to get going. BTW, hold down the shift key to make one capital letter at a time.

As I'm always trying to learn new methods, especially as it relates to computers, how are you posting? Did you have something implanted? And, BTW, all caps is yelling--turn off the caps lock—oh, gentlemen is the plural form. You may yell at home but please, not on the TB board.

As for my experience, which you have questioned several times, I was building winning cars out of my shop three years before you were born, cops did not even have radar. I've been to FL to meet with Smokey about his flow bench and dyno designs, which I crudely replicated with his PERMISSION--now there's a guy who had class. I sold my machine shop when you were 12 and went on to the R&D side of things but you've still got a few years yet before you've had grease under your fingernails as long as I have. In fact, I was building Power Glides and trying to heat treat internal parts in a kitchen stove before you were born--before the aftermarket trannie companies made it easy.

Most of what I did has long been replaced by technological advances by folks who invested their own money and time--pioneers like Bruce. So, spew more bile if you will, that's your nature--which reminds me, since you like parables, read the one about the scorpion and the frog and find yourself.

Bruce, you're a pioneer but this little episode just lends more credence to the old adage--The pioneers got all the arrows while the settlers and squatters got all the land.

I don't blame most checking this thread for not stepping down into the mud but I for one appreciate Bruce and the other TB moderators that REALLY keep this board going. It’s the best on the web! Lately I've just had difficulty taking the bad with the good.

One last thing about AODs in GMs, maybe you’ve done more out-of-family transmission-to-motor swaps than I have but maybe not, I certainly did them before you were around, the number is unimportant. Everyone I’ve ever done or collaborated on whether totally hand made or with an aftermarket kit left something to be desired and kept giving ongoing headaches. The only productive use I ever found for Fords was to go get the GM parts for the really neat cars!

seems like none of your business ventures flew straight up clay so your angry with a man with a well executed plan that didnt fail.thanks for all the new customers ,at this rate we will be out of drums soon,.ckperformance ,hey bruce it looks like what you did to scott is what you are accusing me of doing andvthat would make you a hypocrite.i refuse to do any dealings with you until you see the error of your ways or hell freezes over.remember who sent you governors when you had none cause he will never send them again. lets call this last attack on my company and integrity as yourlast poke at me and i refuse to answer you or mr thompsons nonesense and instead will use that energy to make sure everyone on the planet knows about my company, and my drums.

Very well educated and I could never measure up. I am just a mere observer at this point. I told you i would do/say no more and I am keeping my end. I explained in detail, how and what, I did for all to know.

This place was fine until Chris from CK came here

I have sat back long enough and want to say my piece now.
Ever since Chris from CK Performance came on this board there have been nothing but problems. First off, he doesnt follow the ground rules set up by the other Parts Vendors on this board and that is to not use this forum for advertising. It is ok to have your shops name or website address in your signature, but telling people to go to www.ckperformance.com whenever someone asks a question is ignorant and juvenile. Besides the fact that it pisses off the other vendors AND it comes off as egotistical. The idea of this forum was to let people make their own desicisions and choose the vendor on their own. There is plenty of business to be had, but you cant force someone to buy from you or jump into every thread on here and tell people to go to your site.
I am in this forum every single day. I have learned a lot from Bruce, Greg and Joe Burkart when he used to post here.
But Chris has never contributed to any technical questions only touted how great he is and used the forum for advertising. Bruce, Greg and Joe on the other hand have gone to extreme lengths to answer even miniscule questions when they didnt have to.
I am sure you are a very smart guy Chris, but I will tell you straight up that I wouldnt buy from you since you come off as a bull in a China shop. Your demeanor in here to me is unacceptable. If you bully people around on here then I can only imagine what you do on the phone or in person.
All most of us want is a non threatening invironment. If someone asks questions, then there is no need to beat them senseless.

I thought the rule was no prices, not no advertising. I have no personal interest here but I have dealt with CK and found Chris to be very helpful and generous with his time and parts. I never once found him to have a bullying attitude. I think he is simply proud of his company and wants to expand his business and if he did break any rules I'm sure the mods would step in.

Sorry to stray off the original thread but I need to chime in with my recent experience at PTS. A couple of weeks ago I decided to make the 6 hour drive (I must be a GN junky) to see Bruce and discuss a rebuild of my 200 4R. Upon my arrival, there was a customer with a GN that lost overdrive. It was the guys daily driver and Bruce exchanged the tranny with his own personal 200 4R that day so the customer would not be without a car. Although very busy, Bruce spent the day with me explaining his rebuilding process. He showed me first hand on a tranny that he was assembling. He even bought me lunch and at 8:30PM offered dinner at his house with his family. This was the first time I have ever met the man and he made a major impression on me!

hey jersey i guess you saw my name on posts and had already formed a negative opinion about me so you never read them for if you did you would never make such a post.i am always at atco etown with a silver 84 hurst olds running 9s with a small block so if and when you see me at the track come join me for a little friendly conversation .maybe if you got to know me better youd change your one track mind .any of my posts you replied to always were something and somewhat as a challenge as to there truthfullness why not do it in person ,you might feel better.i dont go after you on the board and am very aware of a select few looking to oust me from the board for their own personal reasons so ill tell you gain very nicely if your trying to throw me a rope to hang myself with in front of everyone at www.turbo buick .com it wont become as i am alot wiser than you think.its plain to see iam being attacked here as so many of the readers have personally called me and said they see whats going on dont blow my cool as i have become a fountain of info for them.i have never slammed bruce at pts or do i intend to,i am aware he has many loyal customers so please if you dont care from me thats ok ,there are many who do .i just came here to assist others and build up business by advertising hi quality products and services .bruce and clay are trying to make me appear as if i copied pts products but the fact of the matter is i enjoy tbuick.com and refuse to allow their negativity affect how i run my show.call me at home if you want to have a personal conversation bruce clay or opin jerk 718 626 9629 .id be more than happy to discuss your personal feelings ,AS IDONT THINK THE BOARD IS WHERE IT SHOULD BE DONE OTHERS DONT WANT TO SEE THIS GET UGLY AND NEITHER DO I.THANK YOU WWW.CKPERFORMANCE.COM
 
Well said Chris, I have talked and emailed you a few times and you where always nothing but good help. Stay around you have alot to offer here. Between you and Bruce there shouldnt be a bad 2004r in the country.
