So, all you tranny experts? Does anybody know any particular make/model of car that uses a .500" tranny dowel??

I either need to find that size for my SII aluminum blocks, or have the .500" holes there, machined out to the Buick .621" size.

Man, I didn't think this would be such a tough one.
 
Saw your post on the other board. The chevy dowels are the same (I get 0.625"). If you're looking for just the dowels, buy a 1/2" bolt with enough shank to make your own. Cut them to length, then rotate the ends against a side grinder for the bevel. Sounds like it would be better to redrill your block to the more common size, though. Or better yet, make up a set "stepped" with the 2 different sizes.
