local shop, i have had him rebuild several different trans. with 100% success, however never a 200 4r.

Youve been warned...I wouldnt let them build it unless he has PROVEN 2004r builds

If he is using a proven shift kit from a proven vendor and will actually listen to said vendor, and call or email any "dumb" questions (though there are no dumb questions), it'll be fine.

Tell your builder he can call Dave ANYTIME . I called him last night @ 9:30 pm and he answered while he was tearing down a trans . The guy hardly sleeps !!
