When I put my car in gear it goes in gear very hard. Alot of times to the point it sounds like the u-joints are coming out. It almost always cuts the car off unless I hit the gas when I put it in gear. Tranny has a Transgo shift kit. I know, I know, I didn't have that kit put in it. Already installed when I bought it. TIA.

Anybody? Theres a local tranny shop I can take it to but I'd like to get an idea of what it may be before I take it there. Thanks.

My Camaro did the same thing, replaced the valve body and the problem went away or did not get as bad.

What converter is in the car?

Please disclose what brand and design the converter is.
I would bet money either it is a converter problem and I have a guess in mind as to what converter is in there and , A idle mixture or chip or iac problem . Back to what converter is in the car?

Hmm..are you thinking multi disk vigilante and a front pump crossleak?

Thats what was wrong with my buddy's car. The clutches were "semi-applying". This is all in addition to the first thing in the AM break the clutches loose stall. Was really weird if you pulled manual 2nd, the clutches would apply and sometimes would stall the car, other times it was like you went from N to D again.

LOL

You are beginning to scare me Jim...oh I mean..... continuing to scare me Jim.....:D

(I have heard of that before, thats why I asked quietly, not stepping on toes.)

Stock Converter, Bruce. I do know the previous owner had a new TCC solenoid put in the tranny before I bought the car. IAC counts look normal. Different chips make no difference. I'm beginning to wonder about the TCC solenoid also. If it is bad could it cause this type of problem? Trannys aren't my specialty. Thats why I ask the gurus on here.;) Thanks.
