tranny help

just bought this car and the tranny was just built,i went to the track tonight and did my burn out and it spun bad so i let off and got back in it,and the trans. would not do anything,it won't move in any gear reverse,drive or etc.i got it home and pulled the pan,fluid looks good does not smell burnt at all,but there is some black soot stuff on the bottom of the pan,no metal.any ideas?its a 87 we4 with the 2004r

sounds likethe forward drum snapped... that or the pump stator

converter turbine,pump drive ,pump rotor ,input shaft,od ring gear or carrier or fwd drum broken.does oil come out of the cooler line if you loosen it and start engine?
