From what i understood, th-400's will bolt right up to our cars(gn,ttype and so forth). Well tonight when convertingmy car from the 200 to the 400 i noticed that the 400 has a different bolt pattern then my 200 did. I bought my car in L.A, and it is a 85 but, it has the fuel injected motor. Im thinking that the guy just converted the top end and wiring harness to the 86-87 style and not the block. Is there a difference between the early v6 blocks compared to the new ones? This is trippin me out and i guess i have to get an adapter plate built to except the 400. Do you guys know where i can get one if this is the case? The 400 is the newer style like everybody runs....HELP:confused:

NO it will bolt right up as long as it is a BOP (buick olds pontiac) Bellhousing, It sounds like you have a chevy bolt pattern trans>
