:( Ok i broke in my new moter today but the tranny will not do any thing it has a new converter and the rest of the tranny is new. Any suggestion what can be the problem. I did fill the converter.

ok how please

to adjust the detent TV (throttle valve) cable. push in on the adjuster located on the drivers side near the throttle cable. Looks like D shape button. Pull the cable housing all the way back torwards the firewall. Pull the throttle to wide open and the cable should be very tight. Normally 3 clicks out.

Also check to see if you have enough fluid.

Did you bolt the torque converter to the flywheel? Sounds simple, but some do forget that critical step.

ok i will check the detent thank u. I did check the converter bolts they are there.

who did trans? make sure it has filter in it .who installed converter? if pump is turning you think you would have some pressure. pull of line at rad and have someone start the car and shut it off real fast and see if fluid comes out. if no fluid comes out you may have a pump problem.was converter hard to turn when installing bolts?

A locally tranny shop did the tranns. I pulled the pan the filter is in there. I will check for line pressure.
