Im dropping off my 87gn next week at master transmission in rosemount mn,
I guess the guy there (John) is highly reccomended on gn trannys. He mentioned i could go with a bigger input shaft, but i would only need that if i was going to be thrashing on it alot. Anyone have that installed? The car doesnt really get driven alot. He's installing my new pats 2800 L/U converter,
stiffer clutches, shift kit, heat treated drum and better band being mine slips. My question is do you think i need to pay the extra 350.00 for the stiffer input shaft on a car that doesnt get raced? My car has a cold air intake, chip, thdp, 2 3/4 exhaust, i may also be adding a ta49 or 44 turbo down the rd, and bigger injectors.
