tranny question

hey i been experiencing something oddd with my transmission.

when i drive my car and it shifts into overdrive
it seems to shift down into overdrive, shift back up, and then shift right back down all in a few quick seconds.

i also notice when i drive around 46-55 mph, i feel my car jerking like it wants to shift back down into lower gear

any thing i should look for?
it has new fluid and filter but i dont know much else bout the trans.

its the 2004r out in my 85 national

TRY LOOSENING THE TV CABLE SLIGHTLY AND VERIFY STABLE OPERATION. IF NOT UNPLUG CASE CONNECTOR AND NOTE RESULTS.THIS WILL TELL US WHERE TO LOOK NEXT DEPENDING ON WHAT WE FIND .DOES IT GET PASSING GEAR EASY AT 40 MPH WITH LITTLE THROTTLE?
