tranny slippage and knock..

can the tranny slipping cause a car to knock...my rpm's scream when i get on it from a roll, but the car feels like the tires broke loose but it's the tranny slipping...and then all i hear is beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep from the audible knock detector....i hit recall on scanfaster, and it's like 6-8 degrees....i know i shouldn't be abusing this tranny like this, but i had to get into traffic like three times yesterday when coming from the batting cages ( letting off steam there )....could this slippage and flaring be the cause...

Are you getting up against the rev limiter?

no, just slipping real bad...no rev limiter though..
