Hi. I have just got my original tranny rebuilt. When I drove home, I was at the freeway in around 50 mph... I shifted to OD but the rpm was still the same and no shift. What can be wrong ?
try doing 70 mph and manually shifting between o/d and third .A noticable increase in engine rpm and engine noise should occur .If it is shifting loosen the tv cable and road test. if it doesnt ,raise the vehicle on a lift andacellerate to 65 mph in d3 position .have someone apply compressed air to the 4th clutch pressure tap at the rear of the trans andsee if you get a shift .if you dont see if oil is available at the tap in the o/d position at 65 mph .if oil is at the tap under pressure there is a misbuild in the o/d section .if not i would say you have a stuck 3/4 shift valve .make sure no oil is at the 4th tap in 1st gear .this would indicate a missing 4th accumulator piston.www.ckperformance.com
