Hello Everyone,

I'm looking at getting one of Chris' AOD's and I'm considering getting it with a brake so....

Are there any issues with a trans that has a brake as far as fairly constant street duty (of course not meaning using it from every stop situation!:D )? I mean this will see quite a bit of street useage and wonder if there are any downsides to having one installed in a mostly street vehicle that will see some track duty? Sorry for what may be a stupid question but I've never had a "brake'd" trans before and want to know of any downsides...if any.;)

Thanks for any and all help!:)

i've never done it either, but i know the theory behind it. it only activates when you want it to. imagine it like being like a reverse gear. you don't use it on the street, but its there and doesn't hurt anything, and if you ever feel the need to use it, you can.
I can think of one huge problem with it, for me anyways; keeping a set of tires on the car!
