Trans. cooler location when running FMIC

Where do you locate the trans. cooler when running a FMIC?? Do you leave it behind the FM or move it somewhere else? Think of switching to a FM and want to get all the details hashed out before I make my final decision.

I run my trans cooler between the I/C and the condensor. It seems to work well.

I have mine in between the air dams where the stock intercooler scoop used to be but it's located closer to the front bumper...it's angled at about 45 degrees...made up some brackets out of metal strapping...attached the brackets using 2 holes in the bumper below the front license plate and 2 holes in the rad support.

He has an intercooler and fan mounted in front of the PS tire, up above the bumper at a slight angle. The pictures explains it all.

Mines under the pass side fender in front of the wheel - I connected my bracket to the front bumperair dam bolt.

Mine is directly under the battery parallel to the ground. I have an electric fan on top that is switched on either manually or automatically by the temp switch in the tranny pan. I used the bumper mount and made a small triangular bracket to mount it up front and used the fenderwell to mount it towards the rear. I also made up a small splash shield from aluminum to protect it from tire splash.

Prior to that, I had it in between the IC and condensor as you mention. Worked fine, I was just trying to optimize and I had seen Dave's idea but wanted to refine it a little. Make sure to use AN fittings if you're putting it in front of a tire path. Cal Harline wrecked his car like that.
