I know that it's suggested that you set your fuel pressure for 45 line off w/ this chip....but how many of you are actually able to set it at 45 line off & keep your blm's @ 128 & have the car great at WOT?
I'm asking because at this time athough my car seems to be running pretty good, I was told that since my fuel pressure is set at around 41lbs line off that I'm losing out on alot of horse power.
My blm's are showing 128 at idle...
02's are approx 750 top of 3rd gear....0 knock
Boost set at 22-23 lbs
Razors single nozzle alky kit...knob turned approx 90% all the way on
And of course my fuel pressure is set at 41 line off...
The car does run rich at launch....o2's in the 820-840 range...

Would it improve my power/performance to...
1)raise fuel pressure to the chip makers recommended 45 line off...

2)reset my ecm & drive around for 10-15 minutes & see where my blm's are at

3)adjust the trans+ to run richer or leaner at idle..

4)subtract fuel from the trans+ wot setting to get my 02's in order..

5) adjust alky??? hopefully down as it's about maxed out & I'm only running 22-23 lbs of boost & I know this 70gtq has alot higher sweet spot...

Let me know your initial thoughts & tomorrow I'll test again & post what the egt's are at wot..

Thanks

I ran that set-up for awhile and was able to get the blm's within 1 or 2 numbers of 128 by using the adjustment in the chip to set it.

There really is no reason to ever have to make any adjustments to the fuel pressure once it is set per the extender chip instructions, with all the user adjustments available in the chip and the maf translator this is what makes the maf translator and extender chip set-up so great it allows you to fine tune the parameters yourself.

Have you tried adjusting the blm's in the chip?

Do you mean in within the translator settings? How do you change it within the chip?

My extender extreme chip used with the T+ has adjustable blm shift in the programming.

Look for something that says BLM Shift, it scales the blms accross the board and is programmable 0-16 like many other of the parameters.

I use 45psi. line off and have to shift mine about 4 numbers.

Again it might be in the chip programmable features it's not part of the T+ settings.

Did you not get the instruction sheets with the extender chip?

There are many parameters that the user can adjust in the extender chips like;

shift light - it will flash the check engine light above desired rpm

DFCO - prevents annoying rpm dips while coasting caused by high stall converters.

WOT logear spark - adjust how much extra spark advance is commanded in first and second gear.

BLM correction - adjust all blm's up and down

there are more but you get the idea.

You will need a scanmaster to see the parameters for adjustment.

FullThrottleSpeedTech.com has all the support information.

Thanks for the info guys..I've got the instructions here somewhere....I'll see if I can locate them...

My main reason for thread was is if by running my fuel pressure @ 41 line off that I really am losing out on horse power that could be had by running 45lbs?
