My Gn pulls pretty hard 1-2 shift, 2-3 falls on its face, like it hits a wall, then will pull again...i know its kind of vague, but any ideas?

Right, you wouldnt hear knocking because the knock sensor pulls timing out of the engine before you would likely notice it. That is the meaning of the earlier post.

Normally when someone mentions something about power dropoff during accelleration without a mention of an over-rev(2-3 shift flare) I look directly at what will cause the engine to stop pulling and just "hang" then take off again, my first thought is lack of fuel which you state rise's in pressure correctly, but does it maintain that pressure? If it falls any during boost, problems like you describe are the result and contribute to Knock Retard, other than those, I would look at possible weak valve springs causing somewhat the same feeling but would also repeat in lower gears.
I guess a little more info would be helpfull. Good luck.

Kevin.

Are there other Turbo Buick guys in your area that can either ride in the car and/or drive it to help troubleshoot?

i'm right around the corner from Jack Cotton, but i'd like to be able to try and troubleshoot some of this car's issues myself...i won't learn anything about this car if I let someone fix it every time something is wrong. I appreciate the help.

Good approach. I've learned some over the years mostly with great friends who know these cars and the vast amount of info here and on other sites. All it takes is a dedication and willingness to learn! Good luck and hope you get it sorted for the nicer cruise weather that will be here soon.
