trans problem

I can't seem to get my car to go into overdrive cananyone help me here

It will finally shift if you run the car up to redline in Drive

How bout some more info, such as what trans, miles? any mods or anything that lead to prob? anyother probs other than just not reaching od?

87 turbo t car all stock with 153k miles on it

not really, I was talking specifically about the trans mods. Did you just get it, did it always do it, did it just star,t when did it start ,what happened when it started, stuff like that?

I just bought the car about a month ago it had been setting for 2 years and I finally fixed everything so I could drive it and it has went into overdrive once and never again sence then

Possible 3-4 shiht valve, 3-4 throttle valve sticking, 4th piston leaking or clutches burned, 3-4 accumulator leaking.
All of which would involve going into the trannie, the valve body at least and/or trannie disassemly.
