Recently changed the fluid and filter in my stock trans and when I got done the car will shift but jerks hard when it goes in drive. Any advice?

If you didn't have any problems before and didn't have any metal shavings, burnt fluid, uses the proper fluid, and didn't over fill just drive the car and get it to warm up and cool down a few times. You'll probably be ok. Fresh fluid can have a better viscosity instead of that old worn out fluid

gotcha, it drives fine in drive. it just takes a second and kind of clangs when you go from neutral to drive. thought maybe i messed up the linkage or something.

Usually I would say look at the u joints and pinion for excess play, but with you just changing fluid I feel it's just something that should work out with some normal operating cycles. Check your Trans mount on the tailshaft connecting it to the cross member

yeah, i checked it on a level surface while hot and it read full. while i was changing the pan gasket and filter the cable i have an drawn to in the picture came out and i was worried it may have effected something.

That bracket only goes in one way. I don't think you would have messed anything up with it. Weirder things have happened I'm sure, but it looks correct to me
