I wanted to add to the thread that the 4L80e swap I done on my car is nothing but a compliment to the Turbo Regal's drivability. And ultimately, it's a piece of mind of having a durable transmission in the car. I don't get that feeling anymore that when I go out and run the piss out of the car that it might be the last time the transmission will work. This swap puts it up there in the top three mods I've ever done to my car, and I've owned my car since 1986.

Also, for those who are scared about losing 2 tenths off your time with the extra weight and internal loss.... just make up for it by adding a couple of pounds of boost.
My stock bottom end/212 flat tappet/home ported irons/stock intake/6262 combo trapped 126 mph at 28 psi in 85 degree air with lackluster 60' times and a lot of converter slip through the 1/8 at BG this year. With the latter two issues addressed, I really think there is another mph or two left in it. There are probably hundreds of TR's with basically this exact engine setup running around, and the mph seems about bang on to the average for the tune. I agree, and would raise that it might only take 1 psi to cancel out, lol. No beef with the 4l80 here, it's doing just fine.
