124k mile stocker is still pushing along. But I know it's a matter of time. Specially with boost over 20lbs. Is it worth getting the billet drum and etc? I'm only looking to take this car into mid 11's maybe low 11's on a good night. Mainly a street car with a few visits a year to the track. Local trams guy who has built a few local guys 200's doesn't think I need the billet parts. Opinions? Thanks

I would get the billet forward drum. You would be ok with the other stock parts at your power level. I broke 3 stock forward drums on a 12 second car. Went billet after that and still going strong.

I offer 6 different builds, all of them except my stock build includes an upgraded shaft in the forward drum. I still have 10 second cars running around that do not have an upgraded drum or billet anything in them. It depends on who builds the transmission if it will survive. Make sure your builder has built them successfully before. It all comes down to calibration if you can use a stock forward drum. If he uses a purchased shift kit, get an upgraded shaft forward drum. Period. I stock them if needed.

Thanks for the response. I was looking at getting the street/strip rebuild kit from CK performance. Local builder has Built 200's before with success. It may be overkill with the billet drum and shaft. But I guess having a trans stronger then I need isn't a bad thing.

Husek or Lonnie can both set you up with similar kits. Might want to at least call or email all three with your needs and goals and make an informed decision.

I just had Dave Husek build rebuild my 200R4 and he was a pleasure to deal with, walking me through the entire process. I now have 100 miles on it and it ROCKS.
