I have an unmodified 20k mile TTA. When the car is cold it shifts great but when it gets really warmed up it shifts "quickly" through the gears.

Like when you take off from a stoplight it goes to second, drive, and overdrive quicker than normally?

It shifts crisp and with no slipping,,but still shifts quicker than it should,,,

any ideas or adjustments I should make. I just had the trans serviced this spring so that shouldnt be an issue

TIA
Ty

PS Under WOT it shifts fine.

try adjusting the tv cable tighter.push the cable 2 or 3 clicks toward the firewall after pressing the lock down.what is the wide open throttle 1/2 shift rpm?do you get a 2/1 kickdown at 15 mphour with the setting you have now?

I would say the TV cable as well. Mine had a slight flare between 2 and 3 and shifted fast. I think I went 2 clicks with it and now she snaps your neck just how I like it

I think it was more so when warmed up. Just go out there and play with the TV cable and see what it does! :)

Will do

If that fixes it i will have to send ya some more KN filters

Sounds like the TCC Solenoid to me. Check the TV cable for proper adjustment first. The TCC Solenoid is easy to replace....just messy. The solenoid can fail or stick at any time. When the solenoid fails you will get the sensation that you are being pushed when you are slowing to a stop (down shifts will also be more pronounced). Almost like trying to stop with the clutch engaged in a car with a standard transmission. TCC solenoid is around $45, not counting the gasket, filter and fluid. Pretty inexpenisive to fix.
