i want to swap my tranny for a 4 or five speed . what will fit? im in tha dark on this. someone told me i could take one out of a toyota 4runner. whats the best american made option. can i put in a Muncie 4 Speed in and if so what what will i need to do so. if there is an existing thread that would be helpful i would apreciate it.

You'll need the pedals and linkage, but you can get them of evilbay. Then any GM BOPC bell housing or aftermarket. Then any GM early tranny. A Muncie, Saginaw or even one of the 5 speeds that came out of a V8 Camaro/Firebird will work.
