I have a problem with my car. About 2 years ago I had the trans rebuilt by a non 200 expert. I know:o Any how it holds the car in gear too long. The local "pro'' has gone out of business so I am hosed there. My question is can this be fixed with out doing another rebuild ? The car seems to shift nice and firm at regular speeds. I am not looking forward to paying twice. Thanks

i can steer you right but need to know that the car has a brf governor and valve body before telling you where to look.this is if you have already tried adjusting the tv cable properly,of course.report back.

Thanks for the reply. I honestly do not know if it has the correct govenor and valve body. My gut feeling is that it does. The shop that did it did know the transmissions on these cars are unique. I do know for a fact that my trans was rebuilt not exchaged. Is this some thing that can be easily seen or should I take my car in to a trans shop? I would rather have some body who knows these trannys do it for me. I guess my question really is assuming everything else was done right should I expect a repair or a total rebuild. Sorry for being so long winded but I am really lost here. Thanks for your help.

if you drop the pan you must verify 2 pressure switches on the valve body, the letters br above the manual valve and a pink or purple paint blotch in the same area of the v body on the drivers side.
