Hey guys. I have a low mileage GN. Recently did some upgrades for a little bit more power. Still running the stock turbo for now. I recently purchased a TransGo Shift kit. I'm going to have a trans shop install it. Question for you guys that have already done it. Along with the install of this shift kit should I also replace the servo piston with say a C/K billet one or just go with the stock servo piston and save the $100.00 dollars.

200/4R-HD2. I purchased it off a member. It's new but one of the older production kits so it does not come with servo piston.

When you say "a trans shop", I hope it is some where familiar with the brf 2004r. No matter what they say your trans has some differences from a run of the mill 2004r. All 2004r trans are not the same(though there are similarities).

I would go with a larger servo, but you need to make sure these "professionals" know how to set the clearance on it. It isn't just r&r and all is fine.

You should be fine with that kit in a fairly stock car. The ck kit might be better but it is more money.

My guy is Mike at Michaels transmission here in Waterford NJ. The guy knows hi GNs. Thanks for your input.

I'd resell that kit. The newer version has the billet servo and can be had for almost the same cost as the servo and actually has tech data that differentiates between Hi-perf and regular valve bodies. I wouldn't do the dual feed option on anything stock or nearly stock BTW.

OR call Dave Husek. His kit is very straightforward for the BR calibration and completely reversible.

No experience with the CK kit but the instructions are available for it on his Website so you know what you are in for.

If you must use that kit, I'd only do the line bias and accumulator springs and leave the rest of the VB alone.

Actually, just forget the whole post and give husek a call.

Yep!

Wow. I'm glad I asked the question. Going to call Dave Husek on Monday. Only paid $40.00 for the transgo kit so it shouldn't be too hard to resell.
