Transgo has two different kits. One is a "shift correction kit" which is designed for transmission shops to stick into ordinary daily drivers during rebuilds to correct common complaints and recalibrate the hydraulic system to correct for wear, faulty engineering, etc.

The other (the HD2) is a performance oriented shift kit designed specifically to go in a trans that is getting beat on, in a car that is making higher than stock horsepower. It is going to give firmer shifts and is going to recalibrate the hydraulics to give the trans a better chance of living under severe conditions.

The next 5 posts are going to tell you about how transgo does not make the best kits for our application and how you should buy something different. I am just stating the differences between their kits. I have the instructions for both, among others if there's anything specific you want to know about them.

hope this helps.

Transgo shift kit here. No issues so far. I was happy with the performace of my kit. But I still want to know why its not perfered.

The TransGo kit and the PTS kit are nearly identical.

The TransGo kit works OK.
I thought Bruce's shifted too hard to 4th, and the TransGo will too IMO if you drill the feed hole to the larger end of sizes.

Got the PTS in the GN, now looking for the new T. I had heard that the PTS & the Transgo was nearly the same so I thought I'd shop around to try and save some money.

Just for the record ... I'm very happy with my Art Carr shift kit I installed in my stock BRF. I bought it through Kirbans. Nice crisp shifting.

PST is the only way to go it is priced right and the tech support is unmatched. and the kit works great, an easy install. I have done 8 and counting
