My stock MAF took a dump so I upgraded to a 3" LT1 MAF and Translator. Doing the initial setup what "MAF BASE" setting should I use for for the LT1 MAF and Alky Control ? There are 3 settings to choose from: 3, 4 (richer @ idle), and 5 (leaner @ idle). The "MAF WOT" is set to "0" and switches are set to ON, ON, ON, OFF per Turbo Tweaks instructions. All mods listed in sig...

not ALKY related but another quick question about the MAF...some have asked why I didn't get the LS1 3.5" MAF over the 3" LT1 MAF ? I was told it wouldn't make a difference and since all my plumbing from 9" K&N to the inlet of the turbo was 3" I figured that was the best was to go ? Am I good to go with the LT1 vs. the LS1 MAF or is the LT1 limiting my mods potential (will be doing P&P heads and roller cam next winter as well) ?

Thanks,
Scott

Use the setting that gets the block learn closest to 128........ that would be a good starting point. Then add or take away WOT fuel as needed.

Thats how I set my translator, adjusting it to the blm's, my car likes the translator setting at (3" sensor) some cars might like a different setting to get the blm's where they should be.

Thanks guys...I have been doing some more reading on the boards and over in Eric's forum as well and pretty much got all the same answers. I wasn't sure if there was a suggested starting point for cars running Alky vs. just gas. I'll start with 3 and adjust the BLM's from there

Thanks,
Scott
