Transmission Builder in California

Hi Guys,

I have an 87 GN with 30k miles on it. Transmission works fine but plan on doing more mods to the engine and putting drag radials on it at the track. My goals are full weight 11.70s because I never want to put a cage in it. I would like to keep as decent of a shift as possible as I take it to a lot of cars shows and some are pretty far from my house. Is there anyone in California that builds a good Transmission? I see all the other guys on the other side of the country, but just worried about the transmission getting damaged in shipping. Thanks for your help!
