Hey has anyone dealt with these guys "transmission depot" their on ebay now? Their trans was rated at 550hp for $850. Are they selling a bill of goods or are they leqit?

I bet that is the one that has the heading that say it fits......Buick GN, Monte Carlo, Gran prix, etc

Bet it does not a have a BRF code VB and GN Gov.

Stick with a 2004r specialist and make sure your getting a BRF trans,or your rebuilt.
You will save yourself cash and a ton of headaches trying to make it right.
Those are probably V8 trans cores that will most likely neve shift correctly.

I have heard that some people like the Monte Carlo transmission because of a higher shift point. Does anyone have any experience with other 200R4s being built and used in a TR?

well i droped my car off there on friday and am getting my gn trans done i guess i will be the guy who rolls the dice. they do have a guy there that worked for buick and serviced all the gns. we will see wish me luck.

Bison and I have tested a modded kc code with gn governor behind one of his high revving hi powered engines and have had great results.We both had similar results so this is a working combination.The passing gear and kickdowns are much more friendly than the brf and cz codes I must add.

TESTING A AA right now .most of them were 3.42 axle ratios as well.

Do you have your car back from getting the new transmission installed? If so, how does it perform?

well got the car back and is fine some times you can get a good deal .thanks but i noticed they have raised ther prices on ebay . i have had freddy browns art car sellect there all good . ill let you know idf it holds up when raced on a good track . but if you make any kind of power things will break . good luck

i just had one put in my car and i got issues, it shifts nice and hard (good hard lol)but on wot from stop it dosent seem to shift at the point you expect and i have to let off to get it to shift into high gear,also when im just rideing around when it down shifts it clunks like a u joint or something is bad,its embareisng . im hoping it just gonna take some adjustment if not out it comes
