Ok, I heard this isn't a light bulb, but part of a printed circuit board. So how I get my light working again?
And does anyone know what kind of bulb goes in the glove compartment? The internet says it's a bayonet style bulb but I sware my bulb socket doesn't look like a bayonet style socket. It looks like it's a push in type. Anyone?

The shifter indicator is a bulb,Sould be the same as marker light(push in style).194 bulb

Get the led equivalent it looks much better illuminated only a few bucks.

Does it last? I converted all my interior lights in my GS to leds, and they ALL burned out within 6 months...

That's odd, mine have lasted, changed all my interior lights in my DD Impala, been going on three years, recently did the GN and no issues. I don't remember which brand of l.e.d. I used but it was a local guy, was a bit more expensive than buying on line but he said they are good quality.

I used superbrightleds.com for mine. Tried buying the cheap LEDs off eBay and they did not last or wasn't bright enough.

That's where I got mine for the GS. They were all tits up inside of 6 months. Every single one of them.

I pulled a couple of the l.e.d.'s out to see what brand they were. "Phillips" like I said none have burned out been close to three years.

Fyi, if you have problems with bulbs or leds going out, double check to make sure your alternator isnt overcharging.....also on the trans shift indicator lamp, it grounds with a simple clip on the shifter bracket, make sure it isnt loose...

X2 on superbrightleds
I swapped ALL my interior lights to LEDs (dome, map, footwell, trunk, AVC dash cluster & even the "junkyard" lighted mirror I added)
Glove box lite is a 194/168S push-in type, my glove box switch is flaky
I used the "cold" white single LEDs & they really light up much better
I used a red 1 LED bulb in the shifter & can see it in the daylight even!
None have burned out in 2-3 years, so far...
(although I did receive a couple of defective ones)
Thinking about putting rope/ribbon lights in trunk & under hood, they can be mounted discreetly
& give a lot of illumination & use just an itty-bitty amount power
