Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I've been here awhile, but this is my first post. I purchased an 87 T-Type last August, and it was the best purchase I have made. However, a problem has recently come up and I think it is the transmission. My car has a Turbo 400 installed, and has a 3500 stall. It already has a trans brake as well. A little while ago the car began to whine when I have it in reverse or in first gear and I am at a stop. The car idles fine in neutral or park, but bogs down in gear. Sometime it will stall the motor shifting from neutral to drive. The whine goes away after I take off and go down the road, but will come back as soon as I come to a stop. The other big problem is that the motor doesn't seem to build boost as quickly, and the trans brake won't work. The whine sounds similar to having a vacuum leak, but is coming from trans. I thought it may be the torque converter, and someone thought that it might be a bad front pump in the trans. If anyone can confirm this suspicion or offer any suggestions on what it may be, it would be appreciated. Thanks Much
