I have a 1997 Jeep grand to reapir and I trying to figure out the best way to do this cheaply. The transmission lines from the transmission to the cooler are all rusted out and need to be replaced because they blew out from rust. I priced out new lines from chrysler and it was over $250. Would it be a bad idea to use rubber all the way from the trans to the cooler? I was thinking of bending my own lines but where would I get the connections which screw in to the cooler and transmission. I also noticed there is a rubber section for flex? Does anyone have any ideas to get me on the right track. Thank You

If it is just one spot, just cut out that spot and run a hose. You could just double clamp or go get compression fittings to hose barbs.

Get good hose made for trans lines.

I am not trans savy but I would assume if the pressure is low you might get away with rubber.

I think it would be better if you could go to a pick/parts salvage yard & pull a set of lines from a later year model & use those.

Another option is check craiglist for shops that do brake/ trans line replications.
We have a shop up here in NH that does complete ABS brake systems for $300 to 400 instead of what dealers charge at 1k to 1200k

Thank you for the replies. Those are the lines. Thank you for the link to the upper.
