transmission temp gauge

I got mine from summit, probably 50-60 bucks.

On the transmission, i picked the out line( believe factory its the top, but its been awhile)

Purchased a T brass fitting from the local hyd shop, believe it was 3/8 pipe male x 3/8 pipe female with 3/8 pipe female for the sending unit.

Could be 1/4, i forget.

Anyway, i removed the factory brass fitting from the trans, installed the aftermarket T fitting and used the factory line back to the fitting i just bought.

Wished i had part numbers, but i usually just buy in bulk and forget about it.

Should give you a good idea where to mount your temp sender

Are you picking up the temp at the line to the cooler or the return or is it some other port? I'm thinking of adding a pressure and temp gauges so I'm looking for where to put both.

I picked the out line, its going to be hotter than the one coming back.

Believe the pressure line is on the drivers side of the car, should be a seperate 1/4 inch line that you need to put a 90° elbow on it to hook a gauge on easier.
