Tree experts - trying to find a tree but don't know what it is called

Looking for an ornamental type tree that I want to plant in my front yard but don't know what it is called. Have seen quite a few around CT on nicely landscaped yards.

Best way I can describe it is that it looks like a small weeping willow but all the branches droop around the entire perimeter. Sort of looks like a fountain shape. Ones I have seen are around 8 ft tall or so. Definetly not an evergreen type. Guess I could always stop at someone's house who has one and ask but figured one of the board members would know what I was talking about.

Have been to quite a few sites but can't find a pic of one. Any landscapers on here that might know??

I think they're called a weeping mulberry.

Mark, there's many different varities of weeping trees as you described, cherry, crabapple, mullberry, etc... Even with-in all the varities, they range in different sizes from dwarf to standard. Most of the dwarf varieties give the shape that you described. You should be able to pick one up at a Home Depot or Lowes Hardware.

Tried Depot last nite, they didn't have any there and no one could help me figure out the name of the one I was looking for. No surprise there.

Hitting a car show today for a few hours and will continue the search when I get home.

I dug up an old Rose of Sharon tree/shrub yesterday and figured since I already have the hole dug, might as well throw a new tree into it.

Y Not go 4 a Japaneese red Maple.. They stay relativly small & managable. Not to mention good looking

Could be a weeping cherry tree. I'll take a digital pic of mine and send it to you, Mark.

Ended up going with a snow fountain weeping cherry. Hopefully it will grow into a nice tree like in the pic on it's tag. Already in it's new home. Thanks for the help guys.
