Check out the Smithsonian, Vietnam memorial wall, Lincoln memorial, etc. I take random trips there when im bored over the weekends. I also pub hop when im there. Virginia is a stone throws away, if you have time, check it out. Some pretty cool civil war monuments there. if you get the chance, drive 45 minutes to visit the Baltimore inner harbor.

Don't forget the Pentagon memorial section outside the Pentagon............very haunting. And place for serious thinking.

Treasury Building so you can see all the money it makes for Obambo to vacation and golf with.

American History Building, part of the Smithsonian, is really cool....lots of cars, speed stuff, a big Steam engine in the basement.

Ford Theater where Lincoln was assassinated back in 1865. Ask Charlie about it, he was there.:p

Also Arlington Cemetery......changing of the guard on the hour.....lots of famous people's graves......real nice place to walk around for hours.

Smithsonian is great, also Holocaust Museum....very sad. Hard to look at the displays....even has a real German boxcar that they transported those poor people to the concentration camps.

Plus the Smithsonian museum up near Dulles Airport....Udy-Halzy something .Space shuttle Discovery is there ( a project I was part of was launched from that very one) plus the SR 71 Blackbird, the Enola Gay, SST jet, lots others.......$15 to park, museum free.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GN ANYWHERE IN THE DC AREA!!!!!!
