trouble w/ my 200

Alright heres the deal...
When I put the car into reverse, the tranny doesnt actually go into reverse for 2-3 seconds. I can hear a creaking and then all of a sudden it slips in w/ a slight thud. Today it srarted to make some odd noises when i hit the gas in reverse and doesnt move that much. Last week I noticed that i have a slip form 2nd to 3rd. I checked the tranny fluid and it looks like it has way too much in it...Would that cause all these problems or do you think the tranny is just on it's way out?

i now have no reverse...zero, none, nade zilch...its gone.....i checked the fluid and it looks high...anyone have any suggestions?

well...

It means go out and drive. Downshift to manual low or first gear at 25 miles per hour. Does it try to slow car down or just freewheel like neutral? Try it and report back..

When i downshift in to first it just freewheels and revs like im in neutral....torque converter? please say thats what that means....

nope, it's not the converter.

It sounds like the low\REVERSE clutch pack is gone. Without the low reverse clutch you don't get reverse or engine braking in manual 1st.

Oh another thing I noticed is that reverse works a little bit when the tranny is cooled off...dont know if that helps at all...
