I just purchased a TTA a couple of days ago. When I start the car it will rev up and go to cut down to idle and then the car will die. It ran fine until I went and put gas in it yesterday. Was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what I need to do to fix it. I have been talking to the previous owner and he said he never had this problem before. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You should probably install some sort of scanning tool to moniter your vitals before anything else.

Do you have any type of scan tool? Most scan tools will display a malfunction code. Last night as a matter of fact, by buddy was talking about a similar issue which turned out to be his crank sensor. We replaced it and the car runs fine now. But, it could be any number of things too. Like your MAF Sensor, Oxygen Sensor, Idle air control, Cam Sensor, ect. Do a search here if you haven't already done so, be patient, do a lot of reading on your down time.

Also, would also try resetting your ECU for 30 seconds. There are two wires next to your battery. Disconnect them from the terminal, wait 30 seconds, then plug back in. Restart your car and let it run.

The car has a scan master in it. After talking to the previous owner he said it sounded like a vacuum leak. I started going through everything in the car last night and found that the hose that comes off the intake to the brakes had came loose on the one side. Once I hooked it back up the car ran fine. Thank you guys for your help.

Replace it. Hoses that pop off once.. will pop off again.
