TR's in movies

I just saw the movie Mars Attacks! yesterday. When the aliens attack Vegas, a lime-green turbo Regal skids sideways and some joker hops out and runs. It even has Weld Drag-Lites on it! Is there any other movies that turbo Regals have made appearances in?

there are turbo buicks in species part 1, the substitute , out for justice, menace II society and i think there's one more but i can't remember where.

I have seen that movie time and time again. Yet didn't see it. When I did notice it my jaw dropped! When they arrive at the captains home and Martin Lawrence has taken an "X" pill by accident the car is parked in front of the house.

Trust me, I thought it was one too.Boy was i dissappointed when i noticed it was a poor replica in Menace. Out for justice had some good shot and you get to see them get on it a little bit when the car makes its first appearance. Not the actual audio but nice to see them mash the pedal some. They refer to the gn as a GNX.LOL!! The Substitute 2 "Shows" that the GN has some Power I can only watch these movies Nelsons video's and surf the boards until my paint is done.

New sighting of an "old" Regal

I just watched an old movie with my family, "Crocodile Dundee II". In it there is a scene about 15 minutes into the movie where the drug lord kills a man. They arrive at drug farm in a '78-80' turbo regal and shoot the man while standing infront of the car. The car is silver-gray and it looks like a burgundy interior. It doesn't show a close-up and it is hard to tell exactly what it is but the power-bulge hood is clearly shown. At first with the two headlights I wasn't sure that it wasn't a turbo MC. But a MC's hood bulge is off center I think and the driver's door was smooth with no body lines like the MC. I don't think the Riv' came with a power bulge so I'm pretty sure it is an actual "Before Black" sighting. I've never heard this movie mentioned before as having a TR so, am I the first?

I believe the second or third Steven Seagal movie had a GN in it. The bad guys pick it up from a chop shop.

That s Sam Elliott. He plays a bad guy and drives an '87 GN.

Whoopi even shoots out a front tire in one of the scenes.

FX or FX2 has a hot air TR. I think they take the roof off driving under a semi.

Not a turbo regal, but there is a syclone on a seinfeld episode. It is the one where they get lost in the parking garage. Kramer is carrying a box and trips over it and throws the box on the top of the syclone.

I have another new sighting of a TR in an old movie. I think it is an '83-'84 but may be older. It is a designer paint car that has a ride by shot in the movie "I Was A Teenage Zombie". (Now you understand the smileys) Although it is not too clear and you can't see the hood bulge, you can see the large T-Type emblem on the front fender. It hapens about 15 minutes into the movie. It rides by as one of the actors is getting on a motorcycle.

In the movie "Species", the alien chick runs out in traffic and a guy driving a GN hits her. He slams on his brakes, looks back to see her lying there and takes off smoking the tires.

2 Maimi Vice episodes 1 has a GN driven by an FBI agent and one has a GNX owned by a drug lord.

There was a newer action/drama TV show that had one, I don't know the name of it, but it had some guy driving it, and a V8 sound was dubbed in.
