trunk moulding was chrome on my 87 gn ?

I have my car in for paint and am doing all the trim myself. Yesterday I sprayed the trunk moulding with stripper and was surprised to find out it was actually chrome underneath the black paint.

Is this normal ? Looks like this was from a regal and painted. Must have been a long time ago if it was because I've had this car for almost 20 years.

Anybody know where to fing new plastic clips on the ends of this moulding ?

Definately not correct for your car. Do you need both of the black plastic end caps? I thought I had some spares here somewhere

I didn't think so. Someone must have replaced it.
