Im really trying to stay away from the headache of pulling out my gastank and welding a sump in it for my new external pump setup. So I went looking for stock location fuel tanks and found the beautiful one at tr custom parts, then realized its aluminum and I am making the switch to E-85 :(

I dont want to run a cell....must be stock location. Anyone making custom stainless steel tanks with sumps? Sigh....need some ideas here. Im honestly thinking of saying screw E-85 soon with all the road blocks its been giving me with ohh dont run this or that with e-85. And I have no experience with it to make my own judgments...The countless debates I read over it..... I wanna feel like im on a racegas tune all the time this summer but am really getting tired of skipping through hoops and having to double check compatibility all the time.

I know its not really the fuel itself..more so the moisture if the fuel sits around for a while unattended but im starting to feel pump gas will just give me soo many less headaches. Am I even safe running aluminum rails?

I was talked into E-85 and now im either looking for all the right parts to finish my build and be pointed in the correct direction or be talked out of it :D Sorry for the rant but its really hard to get settled on one side or the other when every thread i read pulls me one way and the next one pulls me the other. All I know is I keep spending money and getting a little closer to my goal

I don't know what your budget is?, But try these guys out! Behind Bars Race Cars,BBRC,Behindbars racing-suspension-forced induction fuel system superstore!

Anyone running the Fuel Lab pump? Will FAST support the PWM input to control pump speed?

I've done a ton...and I mean a ton, of research on different high flow EFI pumps. From what I have seen the FL's seen to not put out what they claim. Their controller can be triggered via a window switch, toggle switch, or any signal input. You could just have a simple toggle switch you hit to set it to high speed, or you could have a window switch send a signal to trigger it as well. Any 5v input will work. (I believe its 5v)

So if XFI has window/trigger switch outputs that will send a signal once specific parameters are met, that will work.

I talked to FL many, many times. As long as you can switch it from low-high its fine; be it a toggle switch mounted under the dash, or from an ecm piggyback/xfi. All the pump needs is a signal (or in the case of the toggle switch, once the switch is flipped and sending a signal, it will work).

I toyed around with the idea of running dual FL pumps, but in the end I went with a Weldon. From what I've seen/heard of various companies, some are not always on the money with their claims.. not exactly a new revelation, but something you may consider when you see how much they advertise their pumps flow compared to other companies, and the cost differences...
