tta rear seal

I have a tta that I purchased new and I recently pulled the pan to replace the rear seal. The side seal were rtv not the normal side seals. Is this common on the tta. I also noticed that the depth of the side seal groove's varied by .020" and made installing the side seal difficult. ( car has 8000miles on it and this is the first time the pan has been removed.)

Use the Felpro seal, dont use the pins. Intead use the "Right Stuff" for the pin holes and pump it in until it oozes out the front and back.

Important use a lot of brakecleaner on the surfaces becuase RTV does not stick to oil. For pan gasket, locate a cork one.
