Very decent payouts. Nice incentive to win or runner-up, but it was impressive how everyone seemed more interested in having a good time. Quite a classy bunch.

I've got a good Stage II story. About 7 years ago I had just sold my first turbo Buick, a nice 87 GN. I ended up getting an 84 T-Type from a friend and wanted to build a Stage II for it. I had just sold my old 68 Camaro and had about $15K to spend and figured I could back half the car, etc. and still have enough left for a motor. Terry Ryan didn't have a motor to sell at the time so I called around back east. I remember saying "yeah, I'm looking to build the car for $15K" the guy on the other end of the line told me..."thats about right...for a motor only"
So much for my brush with stage II power.

Our hearts are with you Len...but my wallet is staying here :D

I am picturing a cable access television show...a telethon...hosted by none other than Chris Cairns...we could even feature hookers since it would be in Vegas! :)

I will donate a set of used T&D rockers if Chris will give me my car back:D LOL Call me Len and give me your address:cool:

Sounds good. Dunno about the Vegas hookers though. I saw one hangin' around across the street from Len's shop.....each time this big and I mean BIG momma saw Len she'd seductivley yell out to him,

"Hey Meester Small, I'll give juw an especial priiice."

And each time Len would drool then quickly nod his head like one of those bobble headed dogs sitting in package trays.

So what I'm saying is the hooker idea is good but don't get Len to acquire the "guests."

Any day Gene....it's now been 2 weeks and 1 day. The bureaucrat quoted me 2 to 2.5 weeks and since they don't lie it HAS to be soon. Right, right, right???

No purchase necessary. Gene's gonna donate one to you, along with a spare. So the money you were going to spend on a rocker arm can now be used towards the "LETSGETCHRISAHOOKER" fund.

Press either buttton to donate. (.)(.)

chris--i love your northen inbreed sense of humor.

gene---to cut down on time and expense i am having my gn1 heads converted to 14 bolt and chevy style rockers. shawn has a new set of scorpin's he is selling me. and im going to use my cas intake(which i love)thanks again for helping me find one! i also have twin turbo ,3 bolt, header's and a liquid intercooler. that im going to try with a pair of te 44's. all this ontop of the stage 2 4.1. should make some fun power. now i can use my 70 gtq and headers, cotton's intercooler and what other parts might still be good for my son's 86 t type that were building to give jason a run for the money in tsm. he is just getting his lisence in a few months and will be starting out with king of the hill high school racing. so with enough seat time and building his skill's maybe he can run in the tsm class next year at bowling green. if not the year after. maybe some of you guy's remember my son tim. he was the kid on the 4 wheeler that nick let race down the track at the end of the day's in bowling green 04. the kid has had racing in his blood since he was 12 yrs. old. he's a good kid!

dave---sorry for hijacking your thread---i just wanted to tell you we think you do a great job with turbo thunder. it has the best bunch of people and is worth the 1100 mile trip. i will never miss it! and if things work out right next year i'll bring 2 cars along with paul's car. looking forward to it!

Kewl:)

i have the crappy 2nd gen. they have already been back to be repaired and seem to be alright so far. if i have the funds i would like to upgrade to the new style heads with the 2.02 valves. but for that kind of money i could have a hogan intake built and use my stage 2 heads and make the big power! but then i need new headers and all the other stuff that goes with it. and trying to build 2 cars at the same time is hard enough. so i'll just use what i have for now. i have collected enough stuff to build both cars less the 2 44 turbo's. and my real goal is to have tim racing at bg next year.

and still have the money to send a few hookers to chris's room when he get's here!!
