If it ever quits raining I would like to start doing some tuning. I would like to start by dropping my O2’s from 820 to 780. Should I start by pulling alky or fuel? My guess would be alky. Keep pulling alky unless I start to get knock. I’m currently running 21/22 psi of boost and I really do not feel comfortable turning it up more.

At that O2 its rich.. meaning add air=boost that will lean it out,, or if you have an adjustable chip.. reduce WOT fueling..

Careful pulling alky

Thanks razor. I have my alky control knob currently at 6.5. I can’t remember the nozzle size but I do remember you gave me one size larger than the entry level (maybe a 20). Anyway does 6.5 sound about right? I’ve never seen knock since the kit has been installed.

Thanks again.

Chad that sounds about right.. turn the boost up and she will lean out nicely. Or leave it alone :)

Julio, where should we be keeping the O2 volts with Alky so that we're not running too much on the edge? Thanks!

The higher the better. 800-820 is pretty safe in anyones book.

800-820 is rich.. and rich keeps things together. He had asked for safer.

780-800 is better as long as the performance increases. You lean out the mixture(meaning less 02) as the HP increases.. but running an engine lean and mean is not as safe running one a bit richer.

SO you want safe or you want fast :D

I just started another thread in the general section “Leaner is Meaner”. I lowered my O2’s from the 820’s to 790. No doubt I gained some good power but my plugs are now a little too white for comfort.

Razors help and product are second to none.
